"A return to the beginning s of cinema when black and white pictures moved through their mysterious silence, followed by a frantic pianist. In reversing this situation I am suggesting the creation of a direct, interactive relationship between the film, the actors and the soundtrack by giving them the power of snake charmers – the film takes place as a long series of pictures, doesn’t it? The film jumps, slowing to the sound of their voices or their instruments.

Here the diachronic accordion and the voices of the actors in the film (the same actors being both on the screen and on stage) are recorded and interact in real-time with the film’s speed, the colouring and the shot changes via Max/MSP Jitter. The project for this film/show is a show, in the sense that the audience can observe the process of a film being “played” on site, and at the same time it is a true narrative film digitally broadcast nearly instantaneously on internet or by television Note that because of variations in the interpretation of actors and musicians representation to another, the resulting film of the show can be broadcast several times and is never the same. One of the major challenges of the project is also to be seen in these changes and the implications they entail."
